Establishes collaborative and transdisciplinary food-related programs, providing access to food security for Mandela University and external stakeholder communities.

 

Hub 3: Gender Engagement

Explores and promotes gender consciousness within Mandela University and stakeholder communities.

Hub 4: Community-driven Initiatives

Advocates for community voices and supports human engagement, sustainable livelihoods, and development.

 

Hub 5: Knowledge Creation & Application

Offers a space for students, staff, and project leaders to effectively engage in understanding meaningful conversations with the surrounding communities through co-construction and collaboration.

 

Hub 6: Education Ecosystem

Focuses on providing platforms for sharing educational expertise and collaborations. This includes partnering with educational stakeholders to support teaching, ideation, converged education, and enhancing resources to strengthen and provide the support for community-based learning.

 

Hub 7: Indigenous Knowledge Systems

Establishes an instructional framework for Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) collaboration, and engages in a community-based knowledge development project, partnership, and resource mobilization.

Hub 8: Sports, Arts & Culture

The bridging of the geographical gap between academia and involvement that is influenced by Nelson Mandela University’s Sports, Arts, and Culture division. This hub emphasizes the building of social bridges and cohesion while inspiring creativity and innovation.
