Prof Keet’s keynote address was entitled The Transformative-Responsive University in Techno-rational Times.

 

The transdisciplinary group from the Engagement Office delivered a presentation titled Designing Relational Food Governance: Student Agency and Reparative Institutional Architecture.

 

This presentation reflected on the work of the Engagement Office, the Hubs of Convergence (HoC) and the Student Hubs of Convergence (SHoC), as relational spaces and places for co-construction, student agency and transformative engagement within the University and its broader stakeholder-community ecosystem.

 

The work of Student Nutrition Advocacy and Communication (SNAC) was also highlighted as an example of how responses to issues, such as student hunger can move beyond charity-based models toward more relational and participatory approaches.

 

The conference brought together scholars, students, practitioners and community partners to explore the role of higher education in cultivating humanity through community engagement.
