Hubs of Convergence visit to Westville High School: Grade 12 Application support initiative

Mandela University’s Hubs of Convergence team, led by the Engagement Office, recently visited Westville High School to assist some 50 Grade 12 learners with their 2027 applications to the University.

The visit aimed to provide practical guidance and ensure learners were well-informed and able to complete their applications successfully. During the session, team members offered step-by-step support with online applications, explained admission requirements and addressed questions or challenges.

This hands-on approach improved learners’ understanding of the process and helped reduce barriers to accessing higher education.

Student Hubs of Convergence members also played an active role, supporting learner engagement and creating a more relatable, encouraging environment.

Overall, the visit was productive and well received, with strong participation from learners. The initiative highlights Mandela University’s continued commitment to supporting prospective students and expanding access to higher education.
